How do you license an AI voice ethically?
Start with a real person who has said yes, and keep it that way for as long as you use their voice.

Most of the trouble with AI voices comes from one shortcut: using a voice without the person behind it being part of the deal. These are the questions we think every buyer should ask before using one.
Is the voice tied to a named, verified person? If nobody can tell you whose voice it is, walk away.
Did that person agree to this particular use? A general yes to "AI" is weak. The person should agree to a licence and then approve the actual project, so they know what their voice will be saying. A recording contract from years ago doesn't cover a digital copy.
What are the limits? Use, media, territory, languages and how long. Both sides should know them, and nothing should happen outside them.
Can the person stop? They should be able to withdraw consent for future uses without having to go to court.
Are they paid every time? A one-off buyout for a voice that can keep working forever is hard to defend.
Can each file be traced? A watermark that links the audio to the person, the client and the licence protects everyone, including you, when someone asks where a voice came from.
This sounds like a lot of admin, but it doesn't have to be. On Voxifyer it is simply how the platform works. Talents verify their identity, set what their voice may and may never be used for, approve each project, can withdraw consent for future uses, and get 80% of the rights fee and 20% of the generation fee. Clients are verified too, and every file comes with its licence and an HDIAVOX watermark. Find a voice or license your own.
